My first foray into the world of rallymastering...perhaps not a perfect start, but a start nonetheless!
The Brit Butt Light 4 Rally was entitled "Lost Boys & Rude Girls", and entailed visiting a number of places with names that either sounded rude, or had a link (however tenuous) with something "lost" (see below for bonus listing). With a lack of experience (and a serious underestimation of the time required to put a good rally book together), this first rally had a rather obvious maximum points route. However, the twist at the start meant that riders would be ranked on a "points per mile" basis - most of the riders did not appreciate this, or were too focussed on their plans, to take the additional information on board. The eventual winner rode significantly less miles than other participants.
The bonus listing was as follows:
|Bonus No.||Bonus Name||Points|
|01||The Polished Knob, Todmorden||0684|
|02||Titty Ho Motor Company||1130|
|08||Molly Leigh, the Witch of Burslem||0011|
|10||Richard IIIs stone||0642|
|13||Idle Workingmen's Club||0877|
|16||6 Mile Bottom||0566|
|20||Captain Edward Smith's statue (captain of the Titanic)||0339|
|23||Barton in the Beans||0633|
|32||Cock O'the North||1490|
|35||Everything Butt - Reginald Mitchell's house||0045|
|36||Nothing Butt (bring the Rallymaster a bottle of beer)||0100|
The top 3 finishers were:
1st - Steve Eversfield (27.685 points per mile), 2nd - John Rafferty (26.427 points per mile), and 3rd - Darren Rogerson (25.891 points per mile).
